Give and Gain Day 2011
Give & Gain Day 2011 is an international event that was introduced in the UAE by Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry. As one of the leading UAE financial institutions, Mashreq committed to actively participate in all the events which will raise awareness and support the community.
The theme of the Give & Gain Day 2011 focused on careers and employability and this year saw more participants and employers signed up than ever before. As this was Mashreq’s first attempt at raising awareness, we took on some interested budding candidates from colleges to come and attend an ‘Employability Workshop’ which helps fresh graduates to learn more about handling interviews and be confident to take a step into the corporate world. The session gave tips on building one’s resume, how to give an interview and how to conduct oneself in a professional environment.
The half day session was divided into team workshops, mock interviews and an assessment from the HR personnel to the candidates. The candidates were give participation certificates at the end of the workshop.
