Terms and Conditions for VIP credit card replacement

1. Your VIP Mashreq credit card is being replaced with the Etisalat Mashreq Classic Credit Card.
2. You also receive your supplementary card/s which is/are linked to your existing VIP Mashreq credit card as a replacement for the VIP Mashreq supplementary credit card/s if any.
3. Credit Limit and the Cash Limit on your new Etisalat Mashreq Classic Credit Card remains the same as on your VIP Mashreq credit card.
4. Your VIP Mashreq credit card will be deactivated immediately after activation of your Etisalat Mashreq Classic Credit Card and all your outstanding balances including debit as well as credit balance will be automatically transferred to your new Etisalat Mashreq Classic Credit Card with in 48 working hours. Such outstanding balances shall include any retail transactions, cash transactions, balance transfer outstanding, EMI, Interest charges, fee etc.
5. Your VIP Mashreq credit card will be deactivated and closed if your Etisalat Mashreq Classic Credit Card is not activated by you by 30th April 2010 and all outstanding balances from your VIP Mashreq credit card shall be automatically transferred to your Etisalat Mashreq Classic Credit Card within 48 working hours.
6. Any transactions incurred on your VIP Mashreq credit card but not billed at the time of receipt of this card will be transferred as and when the amount is posted as transaction on your VIP Mashreq credit card with Mashreqbank.
7. Any unbilled transaction/hold amounts on your VIP Mashreq credit card which have been posted late will reflect in your Etisalat Mashreq Classic Credit Card and will appear as a debit in your new card.
8. Reversals or disputed transactions if any, will be reflected on your new billing statement.
9. Any deals (EPP/Balance Transfer) will be transferred to your new Etisalat Mashreq Classic Credit Card account.
10. Tenor of greater than eighteen months relating to certain plans applicable to your VIP Mashreq Credit Card, including balance transfer, easy cash and installment plans, may be decreased as a result of the replacement of your VIP Mashreq Credit Card to your new Etisalat Mashreq Classic Credit Card, which in turn may increase the amount payable by you on a monthly basis. Such changes shall in no way affect the interest rate applicable or the total outstanding amount due to your credit card account.
11. Any excess tickets charged on your VIP Mashreq credit card will be billed and the amount will be debited to your Etisalat Mashreq Classic Credit Card.
12. Status of your correspondence address and contact details shall remain unchanged after the dispatch of new Etisalat Mashreq Classic Credit Card.
13. If you have any bank account linked to your VIP Mashreq credit card, the same details will be automatically migrated to your new Etisalat Mashreq Classic Credit Card.
14. All points accrued on your VIP credit card shall be cancelled and no points shall be transferred to your new Etisalat Mashreq Classic Credit Card.
15. If the mobile number is not registered in the Cardmember’s own name or incorrect, the Etisalat More Loyalty Account will not be issued.
16. The Cardmember will be bound by the separate Etisalat loyalty terms and conditions if he/she is enrolled into the Etisalat More Loyalty Programme.
17. You will receive your PIN mailer within 10 working days of receipt of your Etisalat Mashreq Classic Credit Card.
18. Your Etisalat Mashreq Classic Credit Card will be free for life however there would be a nominal monthly maintenance fee of AED 10 per month.
19. No VIP supplementary credit card will be issued upon receipt of this communication.
20. If you have applied for a replacement of your VIP Mashreq credit card before receipt of your Grand Entertainment, you will not be receiving the replacement credit card.
21. Mashreqbank reserves the right to at anytime to add, modify or vary all or any of these terms and conditions which will be updated on Mashreqbank’s website at www.mashreqbank.com/cards
22. These terms and conditions shall apply in addition to the terms and conditions governing the Etisalat Mashreq Classic Credit Card.
23. In no event shall Mashreqbank psc, any of its affiliates, or any of its officers, directors, employees or agents be liable for any loss, damage or expense arising out of or otherwise related to the replacement of the VIP Mashreq Credit Card to the Etisalat Mashreq Classic Credit Card.
24. Mashreqbank psc shall not be in breach of its obligations or otherwise be liable under these terms and conditions as a result of any Force Majeure Event. For the purposes of this Clause, Force Majeure Event shall mean circumstances beyond the reasonable control of Mashreqbank psc, including but not limited to, industrial disputes, acts of government or authorities in any jurisdiction, acts of God, and any natural disaster. In such circumstances Mashreqbank psc’s obligations under these terms and conditions shall automatically stand discharged without the necessity of providing notice. 

Cardmember responsibility

1. Please activate you Etisalat Mashreq Classic Credit Card by calling up Mashreq Direct Banking Centre (DBC) at 04-4244488 immediately.
2. In order to earn ‘more’ points (the loyalty program from Etisalat) on your Etisalat Mashreq Classic Credit Care, the primary cardmember needs to ensure that his/her SIM card is in their own name.
3. You are advised to keep your last two months VIP Mashreq credit card statements for tallying any debit transactions appearing in the new card. In case you do not have these statements, kindly request for statement reprint. A charge of AED 15 applies per statement for every month.
4. If you have any Standing Instructions (SI) or auto debit like DEWA, SEWA etc, it is the cardmember’s responsibility to ensure that new SI or auto debit facility is applied on the Etisalat Mashreq Classic Credit Card.
5. You shall be solely responsible for ensuring that the auto pay or SI instructions applicable to your VIP Mashreq credit card is transferred to and is applicable to your new Etisalat Mashreq Classic Credit Card. Mashreqbank shall in no way be responsible or liable for the due transfer of the auto pay or SI instructions to your new Etisalat Mashreq Classic Credit Card.
6. If you wish to cancel the Etisalat Mashreq Classic Credit Card, please call up the DBC on 04-4244488 and cancel the same. Payment of all outstanding amounts on your VIP Mashreq credit card shall be immediately due and payable.
7. If you wish to cancel the Etisalat Mashreq Classic Credit Card, you will not be allowed to apply for another Mashreq credit card within 3 months of cancellation of your credit card.
